La nueva política agrícola europea frente a la problemática ambiental: el caso de la sierra norte de Sevilla

This work consists in an adequation of the European agro-environmental policy with the environmental issue of a Mediterranean area such as Andalusia. This paper fist includes a brief presentation and criticism of the nature and contents of agro environmental and forest programmes at the European and also Spanish and Andalusian levels. In a second part, we analyze the first results we obtained concerning Sierra Norte of Seville, «comarca» represen- tative of the area of middle mountain of Andalusia. It is characterised by an agrarian system with a strong environmental value, the agro-silvipastural system of «dehesa». The aim is to evaluate to what extend the environmental politicy could improve a sustainable agrarian management of natural resources of the «dehesa», as well as the economic development of this «comarca»
