Abstract | The kinetics of holm oak wood thermal decomposition in a nitrogen atmosphere have been studied using dynamic and isothermal TG experiments. A number of different kinetic models are examined. Discrimination between the first order, second order and spherical symmetry boundary surface reaction models is difficult with the dynamic TG experiments. The isothermal weight loss curves obtained are best described by a first order rate equation. |
